Geoff Bennett, NZCE Elec, BE Elec, CIBSE

Before joining Energy and Technical Services, Geoff was based in the United Kingdom for 16 years, where as the Senior Partner of a successful facilities management consultancy practice he was instrumental in establishing a number of innovative developments in the industry including national benchmarking criteria within the healthcare industry.

After his return to his native New Zealand, Geoff joined Energy and Technical Services as a Director, where he has continued to use his expertise in energy management and benchmarking to establish the National Database for Energy Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability.

As an Electrical Engineer Geoff also has substantial experience of energy and facilities management including the design and project management of a number of schemes within the construction industry. This has involved the design and specification of communications, controls and electrical services for both refurbishment and greenfield developments. Of particular interest has the implementation of smart metering, system interoperability and how it interfaces with energy and environmental management.

 

Robb Morison
Client Services Manager

Robb joined ETS in 2003 after many years in the motor trade to assume the client services role. Robb provides a customer service focus and works to develop good relations with clients. As a mechanical engineer, Robb also has a strong technical background, which allows him to deal with some of the more demanding queries and to relate to client problems.

Robb’s role ensures the invoices are created in e-Bench™ and manages the loading of consumption data and reports. Robb also handles any enquiries about using e-Bench™ and manages general day-to-day issues.

Martin Venter, B.Mus (Ed), Hons B Mus.
Account/Information Manager

Originally from South Africa, Martin emigrated to New Zealand in 2005 and joined Energy and Technical Services in 2006 as Account/Information Manager. Prior to joining ETS, Martin worked for six years for Nielsen Media Research, South Africa. As National Sales Manager, one of his many activities was to design and compile customised data interpretation reports for several Blue Chip companies, amongst them Microsoft SA, Reckitt Benckiser, Revlon SA and Citibank. The four main South African Banks, as well as the South African Government, ranked amongst his numerous clients.

Martin holds a B.Mus (Ed) degree, as well as a Hons B Mus degree. He is currently registered as a secondary school teacher in New Zealand, which provides a useful background when it comes to training of clients and users of e-Bench.

Martin's role is to support clients in the use of e-Bench, and to work with them towards creating customised reports, as well assisting with data interpretation. Martin will also be the main contact for ETS and NZ Energy SolutioNZ. This will extend to assisting clients understand the process including what the benchmarking and audit process is and how a client might be able to implement energy efficiency projects that can reduce their consumption.

Ling joined Energy and Technical Services in 2004. Prior to joining Energy and Technical Services, Ling worked as a VB.Net developer in an electricity marketplace company.

Ling‘s primary role in ETS is application support and database administrator. She also provides the overall in-house IT support.
